And remember fishermen are always looking for better bait.

The churches, the corporations, and the politicians can dangle the bait in front of us, but only we can click it. We compulsively stretch out into an imagined future for their bait. We work for, search for, compete for, beg for, or borrow for false promises of relief. As soon as we have them, they quickly lose their appeal and we go back to feeling uncomfortable and searching for the next quick fix, scrolling and clicking our way through each day, each week, each month, each year, through our whole life, all the way into heaven, the final click. Oops, nothing there. A rat race and a rat trap.
